We could have played the suspense card, and maintained the mystery until the end. But this week, it seems so obvious that the One Piece series is the most watched on Netflix that this approach seems to us quite useless…
The adaptation of Eiichiro Oda’s cult manga made its big debut on the platform on August 31. Very quickly appreciated by subscribers, but also by some of the aficionados of the original work, One Piece only took a few hours to climb to the top of the ranking of the most viewed series on Netflix.
It should also be noted that One Piece is not only a hit in France and Japan, but throughout the world. The series is thus present in the Top 10 of 93 countries, and occupies the first place of the classification in particular in Brazil, in Qatar, in Germany, in Mexico or in Morocco.
As of D+8, the series has 18.5 million full views, for a total of 140.1 million hours of viewing. It is certainly not a historic record for the platform, but excellent audiences which should facilitate the renewal of the series for an additional season.
