While waiting for its extension which will only happen next year, Cyberpunk 2077 will see his universe expand throughan animated series signed by Studio Trigger and titled Cyberpunk: Edge Runners. Its 10-episode story had been highlighted through a teaser, a clip and a video where the developers talked about it during the Netflix Geek Week 2022, since this anime will be broadcast on the platform. Since then, we have been able to appreciate his opening quite particular which at least has the merit of not showing too much and therefore not spoiler. Place now in a trailer in good and due form.
Opening with a muscular and slightly bloody scene, the video then introduces the series’ protagonist, Davidwho was trying to get back to theArasaka Academy. Except that following an armed attack, his mother will die and he will seek revenge, not hesitating to do so to increase and become an outlaw mercenary. A beautiful illustration serving as a poster for the series was also shared on the Web, produced by Yoh Yoshinari like the previous one, on which proudly pose the different Edgerunners which will appear on the screen, namely Maine, dorio, Kiwi, Pillar, Rebecca and so Lucythe other main character of the work who will have a romance with David. A beautiful band of crazy people who will attract the wrath ofArasaka… If you still had any doubts about the tone or quality of Cyberpunk: Edge Runnersthis overview of the day has everything to reassure.
Otherwise, a second Inside Look has been postedin which several members of Studio Trigger introduce the universe of the series, where the gangs fight against injustices using violence, two major themes of the anime as well as the game, and talk about the animation and the protagonists. If the design of David was relatively easy to imagine, the team apparently had a little more trouble Lucy, because wanting to make her a violent and cute femme fatale at the same time. However, these are not the examples that are lacking in animation.
