If you liked the universe of Cyberpunk 2077for the record based on a board role-playing game by Mike Pondsmith, surely you already have your eye on Cyberpunk: Edge Runners. This animated series created by Studio Trigger (Little Witch Academia, Promare) and produced for netflix will tell us an original story around a street kid who has to survive in the slums of NightCity.
A first teaser had put us in the bath last month on the occasion of the Netflix Geek Week 2022. Studio Trigger was present at theAnime Expo 2022 to unveil the first episode in preview, and if it has obviously not yet been broadcast online, the company took the opportunity to let go the opening credits of the 10-episode soap opera. The famous yellow Pantone 3945C is obviously very present, alongside very nice animations highlighting the technical team behind the project.
To the music of this introduction, we do not find an original composition, but an old piece of a world famous pop-rock group: This Ffirereleased on the first album of Franz Ferdinand in 2004. An original choice, but let’s face it quite pleasant for the esgourdes.
