Netflix has announced the appearance of a very practical feature. A “Manage access and devices” section is available in your Netflix account settings.
As Netflix states on its blog, “ logging into your account from a new location is easy and intuitive, but many users forget to log out afterwards “. This can be problematic when sharing your account with people outside of your household. Previously, to revoke the connection of such people, you had to either ask them to disconnect, or you had to revoke the connection of all devices. This meant having to re-enter your credentials to use the service again. Not very practical when several family members have access to it and they do not necessarily know the password.

Netflix takes the pretext of the approach of the holidays to present the new “Manage access and devices” menu. This is available by clicking on the avatar in the top right, then on Account. From there, select “Manage access and devices” in the “Security and confidentiality” sub-section. Note that you can always choose the nuclear option and click “Sign out from all devices”.

After a disastrous first quarter of 2022 in which it lost 200,000 subscribers, the streaming giant went to war against account sharing. Several solutions are considered: pay to use the service in another house or to use a friend’s subscription. The new “Manage access and devices” feature is particularly welcome, since it gives full access control back to the true owner of the Netflix account. The last devices used to watch Netflix are displayed, and revoking their connection is done with a simple click. The option is available now on any device, anywhere in the world.
