Netflix empties its catalog from November 30, 2022, here is the detailed list

Even if Netflix is full of new releases every month, it happens that the platform also removes series, films and documentaries from its catalog, in particular for questions of rights. However, it will be precisely by November 30, 2022 with no less than 54 films and series which disappear from the streaming service.

Not long ago, we published in our columns the list of new releases to come to Netflix in December 2022. As usual, there are many additions and there is something to please all audiences, between The Witcher: The Legacy of Blood, season 2 of Alice in Borderland, the Dragon Age Absolution animated series or the adaptation of Pinocchio by Guillermo Del Torro.

Unfortunately, if the catalog regularly receives new items, the streaming service often does some cleaning and as much to say that there is many titles that fall by the wayside by this Wednesday, November 30, 2022.

Indeed, we have just learned that Netflix plans to delete 54 films and series from its French catalog. Some titles have already disappeared today, and the majority will no longer be available this Wednesday. Of course, the platform did not communicate on the reasons for these departures, even if we suspect that it’s a question of rights and broadcasting contracts.

For example, we note the removal of the Spider-Man and Spider-Man 3 films from Sam Raimi’s trilogy. However, we already know that these films must land in the Disney + catalog in December 2022. In other words, the firm with the big ears continues to recover little by little the Marvel films and series still available on Netflix.

Note that cult series are also conspicuous by their absence on the formula with advertisements launched by Netflix in early November 2022. Indeed, some of the platform’s flagship shows such as The Breaking Bad, The Crown, Cobra Kaï, or How to Get Away With Murder are not yet available in the catalog of this lower cost subscription. The reason ? Netflix has not yet reached an agreement with the rights holders of these seriessuch as Disney, NBC Universal, Sony Pictures, Warner Bros and Lions Gate Entertainment.
