netflix is now part of the cultural landscape of pop culture fans, which is why last year he organized his Geek Week to make announcements surrounding its adaptations of video games and comics, among others. He will put it back on the same slot, namely from Monday June 6 to Friday June 10, 2022as he announced it earlier this week.
The visual accompanying the announcement of this Geek Week 2022 is not here just to look pretty, since it tease already several projects that we will hear about on this occasionin addition to telling us that sneak peeks, trailers and panels with members of different castings will be there. The most obvious are undoubtedly the head of Vogue Merry next to the dates, the first ship of the crew of the Straw hat who will appear in the series One Piece live-action. Here’s hoping to finally see a first look at the final render, with leaked photos having already allowed fans to see some rather faithfully reproduced ships.
We also find a statement and references to Hellfire Club of Stranger Thingsof which the Volume 1 of season 4 will already be released at that time, a trailer of Volume 2 is therefore more than likely. The umbrella and the sparrow are probably there to Umbrella Academy, whose season 3 will be released a few days later. Likewise, pills with the logoUmbrella Corporation clearly indicate the presence of the mini-series resident Evil which will be released in July and which remains very mysterious to this day. The mask under the name of the event is the one worn by ekko in Arcanewhose season 2 has already been made official.
The key at the bottom no doubt refers to Locke & Keywhose season 3 will be released next October, while the mask in the opposite corner is from The Sandmanthe adaptation of the work of Neil Gaiman whose attendance is assured. The actress Sofia Wyliewhich will star in the film adaptation of The School for Good and Evil has moreover retweeted the announcement, leaving fans to think we’ll hear from her.
In addition to all these projects already known and therefore teased, a few surprises will undoubtedly be part of the party. We wouldn’t be against a casting announcement for Assassin’s Creed for example, since nothing concrete has been said about it since its revelation in October 2020…
