Netflix has refreshed its app interface for iOS environments.
And the least we can say is that the rendering is incredibly smooth. For those who want to have a look, one of the officials behind this modernization, Janum Trivedi, offers a preview on Twitter.
Netflix, 16 years of streaming
Netflix has just celebrated the 16th anniversary of its streaming service. The online video specialist, who was the first to see the potential of a subscription to access films and series at a time (not so long ago) when piracy was everywhere, is still a staple in its sector. . And this, despite the competition from giants like Amazon Prime, which is increasingly felt.
Did the band want to give themselves a special gift for this anniversary? This is what we could say seeing the update of its interface for iPad and iPhone, offered from today to subscribers of the firm. A little jewel of fluidity, a piece of which has just been presented to us by Janum Trivedi.
Like an iOS vibe
The former software engineer at Netflix, who was one of the players in this redesign, shows us a particularly striking result. What stands out the most is the “iOSisation” of the interface, with a transition of video icons as clear as that of applications on the iOS interface.
The other major aesthetic success is the slight 3D side of the display panel of the selected series. The latter is now able to follow and react to the movements of the smartphone. And with a little lighting effect, it almost feels like the image is popping out of the screen.
Honestly, it’s hard to imagine a user who won’t be charmed by this new UI. Enough to make Android phone owners jealous. Will they be the next to benefit from a renewal of the application?

- The most complete on the market
- Often excellent original series…
- Impeccable video compression
The American service is not the most popular in the world for nothing. With an offer of content enriched each week, an always optimal video quality and a very worked user experience, the platform is an essential choice for entertainment. Our only regret remains the constant increase in subscription prices, which makes the service a little less attractive than when it was launched… Fortunately, the number of series and films compensates for this increase.
