MPs are never short of ideas when it comes to bouncing back on the news. And Louis Boyard, the LFI deputy for Val-de-Marne, has made a specialty of surfing, on video, on elements of popular culture, such as when he invited middle and high school students to participate in a #BlocusChallenge on Tik Tok. This time, the elected official expressed his disagreement with Netflix’s new policy and announced that he wanted to file a bill to prevent the Californian company from limiting account sharing.
“The truth is that when there are two or three of us on the same account, it’s often that we don’t have all the means to pay for our own account.comments the deputy. And young people are a good example. So yes, sharing between family and friends is solidarity, it’s popular culture. And this ban on account sharing, it is all the more indecent when we see the explosion of inflation and poverty in our country.
Louis Boyard also argues that when you have subscribed to a subscription comprising several screens, it must be allowed to share it with whoever you want, even outside the home. An idea that is not delusional, and it is not impossible that elected officials are really looking at subscription issues to define what services may or may not require users.
And if you didn’t understand this story of account sharing, Digital explains everything to you in a dedicated file.
