Kaleidoscope

Kaleidoscope follows the disappearance of $7 billion in bonds in the heart of Manhattan during Hurricane Sandy. The story of a heist over a period of 25 years, during which experienced robbers, hounded by the police, try to penetrate a vault protected by a gifted security team to recover the booty of the century.

This eight-episode detective anthology series promises a non-linear approach to its storytelling thanks to a plot that will be different for each viewer depending on the viewing order chosen. The order in which viewers watch the episodes will influence their perspective on the story and the characters. A unique experience for those that Netflix is starting to tire of, also accompanied by a cast of sympathetic actors: Giancarlo Esposito, Paz Vega, Rufus Sewell or Jai Courtney. From January 1, 2023.

The Pale Blue Eye

West Point, 1830. A disillusioned policeman is hired to quietly investigate the horrific murder of a cadet. The military’s code of silence hampering his research, he hires one of them to help unravel the case, a young man who will later be known as Edgar Allan Poe.

Beyond its gothic investigation at will, The Pale Blue Eye is above all the new film by Scott Cooper, director of the excellent Hostile (2017) and The Blazes of Wrath (2013). He finds for the third time the impeccable Christian Bale, who seems made for this role of disillusioned policeman. Playing with illusions and reality, this adaptation of Louis Bayard’s novel promises a neat and immersive thriller, with a deliciously macabre atmosphere. From January 6, 2023.
