The film “Terminator Renaissance”, the fourth part of the science fiction saga initiated by James Cameron, will soon leave the catalog of films available on Netflix.
Apart from the first two films, no other Terminator has apparently lived up to the myth, not even the latest installment Terminator: Dark Fate, designed as a semi-reboot of the franchise erasing the previous ones. opus to assert itself as the true sequel to Terminator 2.
And yet, among all the sequels to the original Terminator diptych, one film still finds favor in the eyes of some fans of the franchise. This is Terminator Renaissance, the fourth film in the saga, having the particularity of being a prequel to the first two parts, although taking place in the future (the magic of time travel, all that…).
Directed by McG, Terminator Renaissance brings together a fine line-up of renowned actors and actresses: Sam Worthington, the late Anton Yelchin, Helena Bonham-Carter and Bryce Dallas Howard, or even in the role of John Connor, a Christian Bale author of a Homeric anger that has become a cult.

The other particularity of Terminator Renaissance is that it did not involve either James Cameron or Arnold Schwarzenegger, the two emblematic pillars of the franchise (with of course Linda Hamilton, meanwhile absent from all the sequels of T2 until her big return in Terminator Dark Fate).
Thus, the scenario writer is credited with the credits of film only as creator of the characters and the original history; as for the T-800, the latter only appears at the turn of a short scene in the guise of bodybuilder Roland Kickinger, whose face was digitally replaced in post-production by that of Schwarzenegger, unable to participate filming because of his duties as Governor of California.

Ultimately more interesting as a futuristic action film than as a prequel to the first two films, Terminator Rebirth nevertheless remains in the minds of many in the franchise as the best Terminator not to have been directed by James Cameron to have seen. the day !
To (re) see the film, however, it will not be necessary to delay, since Terminator Renaissance will definitively leave the catalog of the Netflix platform on December 10!
