Five months after the broadcast of season 2 of The Witcher, netflix wasted no time and is already tackling the third season.
In a blog post, the SVoD service shared the synopsis along with a first behind-the-scenes image indicating that production has begun.
No rest for the Witcher
After a second season lingering again on some short stories written by Andrzej Sapkowski, season 3 of The Witcher should have a less disjointed structure. Geralt (Henry Cavill) and Yennefer (Anya Chalotra) saw Ciri’s (Freya Allan) power as an Old Blood.
Finally reunited, our little family like no other will seek to protect the Child of Destiny whose power is much coveted. For this purpose and to help him develop his extraordinary abilities, the troop will go to the Academy of Aretuza. But wizards fond of politics and machinations will transform this apparent haven of peace into a nest of vipers.
Everything has therefore been put on paper, all that remains is to produce and film. As such, we can see the show’s three central actors relaxing in a stunning snow-covered landscape. We bet that the wait around season 3 will be much shorter than for the second season, released two years after the first.
