Last fall, subscribers to netflix were captivated by the korean series Squid Gamewhich met with unexpected success and even repopularized old programs from the SVoDlikeAlice in Borderland whose season 2 is already filmed and will arrive soon. Its creator Hwang Dong-Hyuk had subsequently mentioned the creation of a sequel, which is now officially announced.
Squid Game will therefore be entitled to its season 2 even though the series had originally been imagined to be complete with its 9 episodes. Moreover, Hwang Dong-Hyuk posted the following message for the occasion:

It took 12 years to bring the first season of Squid Game to life last year. But it only took 12 days for Squid Game to become Netflix’s most popular series.
