Netflix seems to have a new feature in the quiver: Shuffle Play should be launched this year. What's it all about?

The streaming portal Netflix seems to be reacting to numerous user inquiries and, according to the industry magazine "Variety", is introducing a long-awaited function: shuffle play. According to the report, the rollout can still be expected in the first half of 2021. Netflix then automatically selects content based on the customer's preferences. So if you like German films, for example, you will be shown mainly Til Schweiger (57) and Co. in shuffle play.

The aim is to approach users who are reluctant to deal with the sometimes confusing search for new content, according to the report. Thanks to the shuffle play function, scrolling through the content will no longer be absolutely necessary.

A beta version has been tried out by test users for some time. When you click on the "Shuffle Play" button, which some test users apparently also displayed as "Play Something", the content starts, through which the user can skip if he is not satisfied with the selection right away.
