Netflix: Streaming service in distress due to "inappropriate" poster

The advertisement that Netflix chose for the film "Cuties" met with criticism. Minors should not be portrayed in this way.

Netflix caused a sensation with its advertising campaign for the French dance film "Cuties" (original title: "Mignonnes"). The film, which is due to be added to the range on September 9, is about the eleven-year-old immigrant Amy (Fathia Youssouf), who joins a girls' dance group at her new school. The film was advertised with a picture of the four girls in the focus in revealing cheerleading outfits and provocative poses.

Supplemented by the film title "Cuties", the promotion met with a lot of criticism on social media.
