Recently, Netflix announced that it would be releasing new films every week throughout the year. The subscription price will increase in the future.

Many customers of the streaming giant Netflix will have to dig deeper into their pockets in the future. While the price of a basic subscription remains unchanged at 7.99 euros per month, the other offers of the service are becoming more expensive. This can be found on the website of the service.

The standard subscription rises from 11.99 euros per month to 12.99 euros and the premium package is now available for 17.99 euros per month instead of 15.99 euros. Netflix last increased prices in April 2019. There has not been a free trial month for new customers for a long time.

The competition also increases prices

The basic subscription does not increase in price, but with such access it can only be streamed in SD quality, which should not be sufficient for most users by today's standards. The standard offer includes films and series in full HD resolution, while 4K can be streamed with the premium subscription.

The price increase is apparently intended to counter increased expenditure. "New movies! Every week! All year!", Netflix recently announced. The list of the announced publication includes around 70 titles, including Zack Snyder's (54, "Justice League") zombie flick "Army of the Dead" with Matthias Schweighöfer (39) and the political satire "Don't Look Up" countless stars like Leonardo DiCaprio (46), Jennifer Lawrence (30) and Meryl Streep (71).

The streming service Disney + recently confirmed an upcoming price increase. In response to a request from spot on news, Disney stated in December: "The international price for Disney + from February 23, 2021 will be 8.99 euros / month or 89.90 euros / year." A subscription is currently 6.99 euros per month. So far, the year costs 69.99 euros.
