Thanks to a few images, Netflix confirmed that season 2 of his series Squid Game would be broadcast in 2024. But that’s certainly not all that the streaming service unveiled.
Gigantic critical and audience success, the Korean series Squid Game surprised everyone at the end of 2021. Including Netflix, which will subsequently order a season 2 that was little initially envisaged by its creator, Hwang Dong-hyeok. To wait, a reality TV-style variation has also been proposed at the end of 2023. But the real show will be able to resume, because the new episodes will not take too long, this year without further details according to Netflix.
Squid Game is back soon
In a short teaser video, our hero Seong Gi-hun (played by Lee Jung-jae, now blessed with hard-to-miss hair) is in an airport on the phone with (most likely) the creator of the deadly game he escaped from . He promises him that he will find him, whatever the cost. At the end of the first season, rather than flying back to his family in Los Angeles, Seong Gi-hu decided to finally turn around to, one imagines, take revenge. The few images below also promise the return of some familiar faces.
What else is on Netflix in 2024?
But, in 2024, there will be many other things that Squid Game on Netflix. In a generous trailer, the platform notably confirmed the arrival of new seasons for successful shows like The Night Agent, The Diplomat And Bridgertonor Sweet Tooth, Cobra Kai And Tea Umbrella Academy, of which these will be the last seasons. However, we will note the absences of Stranger Things and of Wednesday. Regarding the new features, 3 Body Problems And Avatar, the Last Airbender will probably be the biggest pieces.
On the film side, the second part of Rebel Moon, Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F, Black Doves, Atlas, Carry-On or Damsel with Millie Bobby Brown could well attract a crowd. Netflix has recruited many stars for these projects and many others. All that remains is to hope that this will make good feature films, as the platform is generally more praised for the quality of its series.
