Netflix: The Addams Family version Rob Zombie, it’s in the trailer for The Munsters

Rob Zombie’s adaptation of the cult 60s series The Munsters is unveiled through completely offbeat first images before its release on Netflix in the fall.

The Munster family will be making a comeback! Heroes of the sitcom Les Monstres, broadcast between 1964 and 1966 on CBS, Herman, who looks like Frankenstein’s creature, and his ghoul wife Lily are indeed rejuvenated thanks to Rob Zombie, the director of The House of a Thousand Deaths (2003) and the first remake of Halloween (2007).

A big fan of the 60s series, the filmmaker chose to give it a cinematic version which was originally supposed to be released on the Peacock streaming platform but which eventually landed on Netflix as revealed by Rob Zombie on Instagram.

This fall, we’re going to splurge like in 1964! Yep, The Monsters and The Addams Family are coming back to TV at the same time thanks to Netflix. It’s been 58 years since this clash of the titans took place. Perfect entertainment for your pumpkin carving party”, he wrote in the caption of a montage showing the poster of his film and that of the series of Tim Burton devoted to Wednesday Addams, which will be released at the same time.

A few days before, a trailer for The Munsters focused on the love story between Herman (Jeff Daniel Phillips) and Lily (Sheri Moon Zombie) had been put online (see above). Particularly crazy images in which we can also see the actors Dan Roebuck, Jorge Garcia, Dee Wallace, Sylvester McCoy, Richard Brake and Cassandra Peterson.

The Munsters will arrive on Netflix in the fall.
