Netflix: The Last Kingdom, it’s not over! The film that concludes Uhtred’s story is revealed in an epic trailer

The Last Kingdom is coming back to Netflix soon as a movie! The feature film entitled “Seven Kings Must Die” will definitively conclude the story of Uhtred of Bebbanburg.

Notice to fans of The Last Kingdom, the adventures of its hero Uhtred of Bebbanburg (Alexander Dreymon) are not completely over. Although the series ended after its fifth season, the adaptation of the literary series Saxon Stories by Bernard Cornwell ends with… a film!

Announced and shot last year, this feature film titled Seven Kings Must Die is coming to Netflix very soon. And he will come to bring a definitive conclusion to the story of Uhtred. However, at the end of season 5 of the series, the hero, who spent his childhood with the Vikings, had achieved his goal.

War is declared in England

The Last Kingdom ends on a happy note and an epic and poignant finale for its hero Uhtred, back in Bebbanburg. With a warm home and dignified protection for his family and people and an established peace between Danes and Saxons, both parts of his identity, all under the blessing of the gods.

But this fragile balance is called into question since the film begins with the death of King Edward. His throne will obviously be coveted by rival heirs and invaders who will embark on a merciless war for the crown.

Uhtred will have no choice but to take sides and go into battle, despite his dreams and ambition to see England united. He will have to face Aethelstan, the son and legitimate successor of King Edward, who seems to be at odds with Uhtred, who nevertheless took care of him.

Directed by Edward Bazalgette, the feature film Seven Kings Must Die is expected on April 14 on Netflix.
