BRIEF // Broadcast on Netflix in France, the series Snowpiercer was canceled by the TNT channel. It will be entitled to a fourth and final season, under development, but is one of the projects stopped following the acquisition of Warner by Discovery.
Series Snowpiercer will end after its fourth season.
As we mentioned recently, the takeover of Warner by Discovery was accompanied by promises of savings made by the new boss of the merged entity, David Zaslav. Some subsidiaries of the acquired company were thus notified of the freezing of their projects, in particular TBS and TNT. It was not clear, however, what would happen to ongoing programs, such as Snowpiercerthe series adaptation of the comic strip by Jacques Lob and Jean-Marc Rochette.
As we assumed, if the latter will be fine at the end of its season 4, currently in production, it will not go any further. Deadline received confirmation from the team in charge of the series. In France, Netflix owns the rights, so that’s where you can watch the final season.
