Netflix: the Snyderverse soon on the platform? A petition is launched!

Fans of the DC Comics universe have launched a petition so that the DC Comics universe imagined by director Zack Snyder can see the light of day on Netflix.

After the hashtag #ReleasetheSnyderCutlaunched to allow the director’s cut editing of the film Justice League to see the light of day, is now up to #RestoretheSnyderVerse (“restore the universe of Zack Snyder”, in French)?

Thousands of unconditional fans of the American filmmaker have indeed launched an online petition to Warner studios, so that the DC Comics adaptation rights are sold to Netflix to allow the multiverse imagined by Zack Snyder to land on the platform. .

A move that follows recent announcements by new DC studio directors James Gunn and Peter Safran not to start a third Wonder Woman or bring Henry Cavill back as Superman.

Of the stars of the SnyderVerse, only Ezra Miller (The Flash) could return to this new version of the DC Universe, despite his recent legal escapades.

Improbable and almost impossible

We know that in Hollywood the word “impossible” does not exist. Still, it seems very unlikely that this petition will succeed, in particular because it would be absurd for Warner to agree to sell the rights to its films to Netflix, while the famous film studios have their own platform: HBO Max.

Zack Snyder has not yet reacted to the launch of this petition. If he has never definitively closed the door to a return to the DC Comics superheroic universe, the latter has recently embarked on the production of new projects, the zombie film Army of the Dead, and the very awaited Rebel Moon, originally developed as a sequel to Return of the Jedi.

The mobilization of the army of Zack Snyder fans had allowed Zack Snyder’s Justice League to see the light of day. Who knows if this new petition will not allow Man of Steel 2 and the diptych Justice League 2 & 3 to end up on Netflix?
