As in Germany, the game show “Squid Game: The Challenge” on Netflix thrilled global viewers this week and even gained over 20 million views. The prize pot is worth $4.56 million for the 456 candidates in the popular reality series on Netflix.

In the lists you will find the weekly most successful films and series on Netflix. Not just across Germany, but also internationally. The views of the top 10 are calculated by the streaming service by dividing the total number of hours viewed by the total running time.
The weekly figures are also rounded up to 100,000 to take unstable internet connections into account. It also states how many weeks the series or film has been in the Netflix top 10. Since the beginning of 2023, Disney+ has also been using this formula to measure viewers’ streaming time.
