Netflix has announced two great animation projects with the Aardman studio: a new film by the cult duo Wallace & Gromit and a sequel to the famous Chicken Run.
The Aardman Animations studio will delight fans of their work with two good news! The sequel to the legendary film Chicken Run, which led to the creation of the Oscar for best animated film in 2002, is more than confirmed but above all dated, having been announced in 2018 and then picked up by Netflix.
Entitled Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget, this sequel will be released in 2023 on the platform and the creators of the original film will be in charge to the delight of fans. It is Sam Fell, director of Souris City and The Strange Power of Norman, who will direct this sequel carried by the voices of Thandiwe Newton, Zachary Levi and Bella Ramsey.
Another enticing project: the return of Wallace & Gromit! This cult duo of plasticine characters returns in an all-new stop-motion film directed by Nick Park, the creator of the original series about this crazy and clumsy inventor and his dog, whose works in the franchise have often won Oscars. .
In this new film, we will follow Gromit’s worries about Wallace’s addiction to his sometimes dangerous inventions. His fears are confirmed when Wallace creates an intelligent gnome.
