It’s a series that has been talked about a lot in recent months without having seen a single image. Netflix took advantage of its world event TUDUM to unveil the first trailer for Trouble with three bodies, a series that can be described as a blockbuster because the American giant has put the means into it. This adaptation of a SF trilogy written by Chinese author Liu Cixin tells the story of humanity’s first contact with an extraterrestrial civilization…
The project was spearheaded by David Benioff and DB Weiss, two names Game of Thrones fans will know well as they also worked on the script for the HBO series. And we can say that the duo was particularly ambitious on this project which takes place in several countries and which requires a lot of special effects. The trailer – which does not reveal much – is particularly enticing… especially when it features an alien. This did not fail to make the 15,000 fans present live at Tudum react, which AlloCiné covered live from Sao Paulo.
On the casting side, we recognize in these images two former Game of Thrones actors – John Bradley and Liam Cunningham – but also Benedict Wong and Jess Hong. If the quality is there next January, Netflix could hold its new big hit there.
