THE UNAVOIDABLE

October 19: Notre Dame, the Part of the Fire

After Notre-Dame burns by Jean-Jacques Annaud, another project that retraces the fire of the cathedral in 2019 is coming to Netflix. Notre-Dame, la Part du feu is a mini-series in six episodes created by Olivier Bocquet and Hervé Hadmar and adapted from the book The Night of Notre Dame written by the Paris Fire Brigade and Romain Gubert.

The series follows the drama but also the fates of characters linked, directly or indirectly, to the fire. In the cast of the series, we find Roschdy Zem, Caroline Proust, Megan Northam, Simon Abkarian, Alice Isaaz, Marie Zabukovec, Sandor Funtek, Kassem Al Khoja, Corentin Fila, Ambroise Sabbagh, Frederic Chau and Victor Belmondo.

October 7: The Midnight Club

After The Haunting of Hill House, The Haunting of Bly Manor and Midnight Sermons, the new master of horror Mike Flanagan returns with a tantalizing new series: The Midnight Club, based on the book of the same name by Christopher Pike.

Change of decor and atmosphere for this new series. The Midnight Club immerses us in a hospital reserved for adolescents with serious pathologies. And the sick meet every evening at midnight to share scary stories.

October 13: The Watcher

Ryan Murphy (American Horror Story, Glee, Nip/Tuck) is back in great form on the horror side! After Dahmer: Monster – The story of Jeffrey Dahmer, his new production, The Watcher, should be your new obsession.

This series tells the hell lived by a married couple who thought to move into the house of their dreams. But when they receive terrifying threatening letters from a stalker signing up as “The Watcher”, their lives turn into a nightmare.

In the casting of this series inspired by real events, we find the actress Naomi WattsBobby Cannavale, Jennifer Coolidge, Joe Mantello, Margo Martindale, Terry Kinney and Mia Farrow who is making a comeback after years of absence from our screens.

October 25: Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities

Guillermo del Toro presents its selection of sinister stories, each more terrifying than the other, in its horror anthology Cabinet of Curiosities : 8 scary stories, ranging from macabre to magical and from gothic to grotesque.

The acclaimed and Oscar-winning director has surrounded himself well for this project, both in writing and in directing, with talents he has chosen, such as Vincenzo Natali (Cube), Jennifer Kent (The Babadook), David Prior (The Empty Man), Ana Lily Amirpour (A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night), Catherine Hardwicke (Twilight), Panos Cosmatos (Mandy) or even David S. Goyer (The Dark Knight).

On the casting side, there are also beautiful people, including Andrew Lincoln (The Walking Dead), Rupert Grint (the Harry Potter saga), F. Murray Abraham (Mythic Quest), Crispin Glover (Back to the future), Ben Barnes (Shadow and Bones), Essie Davis (Miss Fisher), Eric André (Disenchanted) but also the French Sofia Boutella (Kingsman).
