For several months now, netflix is gradually developing its catalog of games. And it turns out that the SVoD service American has signed a partnership to be able to use the license Exploding Kittens. Several projects will therefore see the light of day…
For those who are unfamiliar with Exploding Kittens, note that it is basically a card game based on the principle of Russian roulette. Quite crazy entertainment featuring kittens and a good dose of dynamite. An explosive cocktail (it was easy!) which obviously pleased Netflix.
Cats will invade our screens!
Thus, Netflix plans to launch next May a new mobile game soberly titled Exploding Kittens – The Game. It will be a brand new version different from the one already available on smartphones and tablets. While the current (paid) game will remain available, unfortunately players will not be able to transfer their save game, purchased expansions, and overall progress. Anyway, this new title will be available for free for Netflix subscribers.
Finally, the streaming service will produce an anime series for adults Exploding Kittens. It will depict the conflict between heaven and hell as God and the devil arrive on Earth in the form of two big cats. A somewhat trashy humor will be at the heart of the series, which will be broadcast in 2023.
