Finally, Netflix makes it possible to manage the disconnection of devices connected to an account more finely.
It is now possible to disconnect a specific terminal to clean up.
The end of the squatters on a Netflix account
Until now, when a Netflix account owner wanted to remotely log out access to their account on a particular device, the only solutions were to change the password or mass log out all devices. Not very practical, especially for those who share their account with other people. But this discomfort is now ancient history.
As of today, the “Manage access and devices” page of the account settings (both on mobile and on the Web) offers to disconnect remotely one by one the terminals of your choice. Useful for disconnecting from that hotel TV you used on vacation and forgot to disconnect, or, more simply, to remove access to your ex.
More information and control over his account
By adding this feature, Netflix is catching up with Prime Video, which already offered it. However, this is not the case with Disney+, which still only allows all devices to be disconnected at once.
On the other hand, Netflix offers with this page a richer and more precise display than Amazon concerning the devices connected to an account. We can thus find the date and time of the last use, the type of device (TV, smartphone, etc.) and its brand, but also the place of distribution. Convenient to check for example if his password is secure and that someone who has nothing to do with our account does not squat it.
In recent weeks, Netflix has multiplied new features. Recently, let’s recall the arrival of profile migration to a new account. Practical for, precisely, allowing someone to leave with their list and their viewing history to their own account before disconnecting it from theirs. Lighter, let’s also remember the recent creation of the interactive game of general knowledge, Triviaverse.
