In “A Family Affair”, soon on Netflix, Nicole Kidman and Zac Efron once again star in a romantic comedy that promises to be astonishing.
Known for its many romantic comedies, the Netflix platform unveils the first photos from the film A Family Affair by Richard LaGravenese which once again brings together Nicole Kidman and Zac Efron. The two actors had already shared the poster in Paperboy by Lee Daniels in 2012, a sulphurous thriller which made an impression during its presentation at Cannes – partly because of a rather trashy scene.
This time, change of register. The story follows Zara, assistant to a major movie star, Chris Cole – played by Zac Efron. The young woman’s life takes another turn when the actor falls in love with his mother – played by Nicole Kidman. Needless to say, this romance will lead to incredible consequences.
In the shoes of the heroine, we find Joey King, the star of The Kissing Booth trilogy, also on Netflix. The platform revealed the release date – June 28 – and two first photos to keep subscribers waiting:
The plot of the film is reminiscent of another rom com with Anne Hathaway and Nicolas Galitzine, The Idea of Being With You – expected on May 2 on Prime Video -, which tells the romance between a mother of family and the singer of a boy band.
If Nicole Kidman had already collaborated with Netflix, this year 2024 promises several projects. In addition to this film, she will lend her voice to one of the characters in the animated film Spellbound and will play the leading role in the series The Perfect Couple, a thriller homage to the world of Agatha Christie.
