According to media reports, Australian national goalkeeper Matt Ryan (FC Copenhagen) or former Leipzig player Yvon Mvogo (FC Lorient) are possible candidates. Summer’s Swiss national team colleague Jonas Omlin is said to be the current favorite. The goalkeeper still plays for the French first division club HSC Montpellier. The Gladbachers have high hopes for the 21-year-old homegrown Jan Olschowsky.
Meanwhile, there are apparently new concerns about the injured Neuer at Bayern Munich. As “Sport1” reports, there is a fear in the club that the keeper “could be longer than previously forecast due to a shaft fracture on the right tibia”. The TV broadcaster does not provide any specific information about what downtime the 36-year-old would face in this case. There are also no official statements on this suspicion.
