This is how the authenticity check works

If you have selected one of the offers that has been marked “with authenticity check” on eBay, the goods will be sent to the experts designated by eBay. There, the products will then be checked for authenticity based on various characteristics. Incidentally, this can also include used goods.

According to the sales platform, the company Sneaker Con is responsible for checking sneakers, looking at the packaging, soles, seams, logos, laces, labels and more. For luxury watches, Stoll & Co. looks at the crown, bezel, movement and case, dial and serial number, for example. For handbags, the material, shape, color and accessories are checked, among other things.

After the inspection, the package with the goods will be sent to you. If you want to return your watch, handbag or sneakers and the seller offers this, you do not have to send your purchase back to the seller, but directly to the inspectors. They will then inspect the item again.
