“Never say never”: Melania flirts with returning to the White House

“Never say Never”
Melania is flirting with returning to the White House

Since leaving the White House, the former first lady has barely appeared in public. Melania Trump is now giving a rare interview on Fox News. In it she hints at a return to the American control center of power.

Former US First Lady Melania Trump is not ruling out a return to the White House. “Never say never,” the 52-year-old said in an interview with Fox News on Sunday. Ex-President Donald Trump’s wife replied when asked if she could imagine government headquarters in the US capital Washington becoming her home again. It was the first lengthy interview of the former first lady since she left the White House.

She and her family are doing very well at the moment, she said. “Life is great and keeps you on your toes.” Trump said her “greatest honor” was being First Lady of the United States. “I enjoyed looking after the White House. It was my home for a while.” She also liked the city of Washington.

Melania, 51, moved into her husband’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida, in January 2021 after her husband’s tenure ended. She has hardly appeared in public since then.

The former first lady had made herself very rare in public after her husband left the White House. Most recently, she had started selling Non-Fungible Tokens (NFT) – i.e. digitally protected originals – on her website. She had announced that part of the proceeds should benefit children.

There has been regular speculation about the couple’s relationship for years – especially since Melania Trump has repeatedly caused a stir with gestures that were seen as a sign of distance. Melania is Trump’s third wife. The couple have been married since 2005 and have a son together.
