JBL introduced many new Bluetooth speakers at CES. Three well-known speakers are now receiving improved successor models.

JBL has been one of the leading manufacturers of Bluetooth speakers for many years. The audio specialist’s product catalog is large and, in addition to the increasingly popular party boxes, there are also a wide variety of portable boxes. As part of the CES, JBL has now presented three new compact speakers, all of them successor models.
The smallest model is the successor to the JBL Go 3 – the Go 4. According to the manufacturer, the mini Bluetooth speaker should impress with a stronger sound and more powerful bass. It has also been given a new shape and a thicker, more durable handle. The battery life is said to be up to seven hours, and it is available in different colors for 49.99 euros.
The JBL Clip 5 is slightly larger but still very portable. It has a redesigned carabiner with a larger opening. In addition, the driver performance has been increased, which should ensure clear sound with powerful bass. Up to 12 hours of playback time is possible on one battery charge. The JBL Clip 5 goes on sale for 69.99 euros.
Xtreme 4 with AI sound
The second largest portable JBL box is also receiving an update. The Xtreme 4 is equipped with AI Sound Boost technology. This is intended to analyze and optimize the audio signal in real time. The box has two woofers, two powerful drivers and two bass radiators that work passively and amplify the lower frequencies.
The Xtreme 4 lasts up to 24 hours on a single charge and can also be used as a power bank. The battery is replaceable, which in turn should extend the life of the speaker. The Xtreme 4 comes onto the market for 349.99 euros.
Waterproof and power-saving Bluetooth
All new JBL boxes are protected against water and dust according to IP67. Bluetooth 5.3 with LE audio function is also used. The standard is particularly energy efficient and therefore ensures a longer battery life. Several JBL boxes can be connected to one another via Auracast.
