Many leaks concerning the future Call of Duty of 2022 have surfaced on the web in recent days, and the latest would confirm the arrival of a new open world and procedural game mode.

With a scheduled release at the end of 2022, the one currently called Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, who previously responded internally on behalf of “Project Cortez” has still not been announced. Tom Henderson, the main leaker of the game, however, leaked new information on his Twitter account. He claims that the sequel to Modern Warfare is expected to be announced this summer with an expected release in October 2022. Activision is reportedly looking to release the game as soon as possible to address poor Call of Duty Vanguard sales.

According to RalphsWave, another reputable leaker, this new Call of Duty would come with a more open world. The story of the game would revolve around of a drug cartel and would suggest a mode DMZ, open world that should have seen the light of day earlier in the franchise. Infinity Ward has reportedly been working on this mode for years, which would be partly procedurally generated in missions, AI and ingame events.

According to RalphsWave, part of the game’s voice cast has been confirmed, tending towards a confirmation of the hypothesis of a Modern Warfare 2 since we find names known to the franchise. In the casting, we therefore find Barry Sloane (Captain Price), Craig Fairbrass (Ghost), Troy Bayer (unspecified role), Neil Ellice (Soap McTavish), Rya Kihlstedt (Kate Laswell) and finally Elias Toufexis (another renowned voice actor who also voiced Maxim Antonov in CoD).
