Attention LEGO fans! The visuals of two sumptuous sets have been revealed, and the icing on the cake, they will both soon be available at a “low price”.
LEGO does not intend to be idle for this new year and has already demonstrated this with a bunch of fairly significant announcements. Once again, the Danish firm will draw from the wonderful world of pop culture with Harry Potter, Batman, Marvel, Super Mario sets and many others. But among all the franchises, there is one that is overused more than the others and will make a comeback with sets that are very tempting for fans. Two essential constructions which are showing themselves today before their official availability.
Two LEGO sets from a cult saga in March 2024
While a large LEGO Zelda set should be released next September, we are entitled to the first images of two other highly anticipated constructions. Sets that do not come from the iconic Nintendo license, but rather from a saga that has been under the control of Disney for several years: Star Wars. Next March, the company specializing in small bricks plans to launch five new LEGO sets on the market, and not just any sets. Among them, we will find a representation of an emblematic scene: the boarding of Darth Vader on the Tantive IV. The second creation is interested in… R2-D2. Again ?! Yes, but there is a twist. It is a reduced model and therefore less expensive.

We begin the presentation of these new LEGO Star Wars sets by boarding the Tantive IV. You will indeed be able to build with your little hands the cult scene from Star Wars IV: A New Hope where we see Darth Vader boarding the spaceship. And obviously, the big bad will be one of the mini-figures with two Stormtroopers, Captain Raymus Antilles, two Rebel soldiers and ARC Trooper Fives as bonuses for the 25th anniversary of LEGO Star Wars. For archers, please note that it will be possible to connect several sets in order to enlarge the Tantive IV corridor and therefore obtain a larger diorama.

75379 Star Wars R2-D2 25th Anniversary (Reduced Scale)
The second LEGO Star Wars set from March 2024 will be a lighter version of R2-D2. While the current model has exactly 2314 pieces, the next one will be limited to 1050 bricks. This construction is thus deprived of its retractable equipment, including the third foot. This one is still there, but obviously you will have to dismantle it and store it carefully in a separate box if you wish. In addition to the R2-D2 which is the main element of this set, buyers will find a mini-figure of the droid and above all an exclusive for the 25th anniversary of LEGO Star Wars, the Darth Malak mini-figure. The price of this set will be adjusted accordingly and will be halved (in fact even more).
