1- New DPE for small areas

The new energy performance diagnosis (DPE) for small areas was published in Official newspaper Saturday April 20. Property less than 40m2 will benefit from a new method of calculating the energy performance diagnosis (DPE). Some owners should therefore see the energy rating of their property drop thanks to this new calculation. In fact, 33% of small surface housing currently classified F risk falling into E, or even lower. All the information here.

2- Income declaration and alimony

If you pay alimony to your loved ones, you will have to declare it to the tax authorities when you file your 2024 income tax return. Please note not all alimony is deductible from your taxable income. If your minor children do not live under your roof, the alimony you pay to the other parent to meet their needs is considered a deductible expense. 3- Future unemployment compensation rules set by decree

Following the failure of negotiations with the social partners, the Minister of Labor announced that the government will determine by deficiency decree the rules for unemployment compensation applied from July 1, 2024. These rules will aim to help achieve full employment, by promoting the rapid return to employment of unemployed people receiving compensation. The decree must be published by June 30.
