At Aldi, new e-bikes will be available in the online shop from August 29 at low prices. Among the five new bikes there is a visual highlight: a retro women’s bike in the color “Polar Sky Blue” (light blue).

The retro e-bike from Prophete costs 1,299 euros at Aldi, which is 300 euros below the manufacturer’s recommended retail price. The bike is currently not offered by other dealers.

The e-bike has 28-inch wheels and a 250-watt Blaupunkt front-wheel motor that supports you with up to 40 Newton meters. According to the manufacturer, the 497 watt-hour battery lasts up to 130 kilometers.
The bike has a Shimano hub gear with seven gears, a rim brake at the front and a coaster brake. The e-bike weighs a total of 27 kilograms (including battery) and has a maximum total weight of 140 kilograms.
You get a 3-year warranty, as well as a 2-year warranty on the battery and a 10-year warranty on the frame. In addition, the “repair service at home” is included.
At a price of 1,300 euros, the e-bike from Prophete is quite impressive. The equipment is decent for the price, optically it is an eye-catcher in any case. The bike is primarily suitable for the road, as there is no suspension except for the saddle.
The motor is also suitable for somewhat mountainous regions, but it will reach its limits on very steep climbs. In addition, you should not count on the range advertised by the manufacturer. You can achieve this under ideal conditions at the lowest support level. 50 to 60 kilometers is a more realistic value.
