“GZSZ” has a new leading lady. It will be a while before the fans see Josefin Bressel as Alicia.
The cast of the popular RTL evening series “Gute Zeiten, Schlechte Zeiten” welcomes a new face: actress Josefin Bressel (31) joins the “GZSZ” main cast, as the broadcaster revealed in a press release. The Berliner, who learned her profession at the acting school in Cologne, will slip into the role of the new main character Alicia.
In an interview about her new TV home on RTL, she enthuses: “Of course I’m really happy to be part of ‘GZSZ’ and I’m really excited about what’s to come.” Her debut was “very exciting, intense and at the same time associated with great anticipation”. The entire team behind the series “received her very kindly and gave me a lot of support.”
It will be a while before the first TV appearance
As is usual with similar formats, a whole series of episodes are produced well before they are broadcast on television. The “GZSZ” fans will have to be patient for the first appearance of Bressel alias Alicia – according to the broadcaster, she will celebrate her premiere in autumn, an exact date was not given.
The actress, who previously acted in “a few commercials and television productions” and has also acted as a presenter in front of the camera, describes her character as a “stand-up girl”. “There will be one or two obstacles put in her way – but Alicia won’t stop that!”
For Bressel, the involvement in the series, which celebrated its 30th anniversary last year, represents a return to her homeland: “I was born and grew up in Berlin, more precisely in Reinickendorf. After my acting training in Cologne, it made me happy for some Time ended up in Italy, in beautiful South Tyrol. But now the mother city has me back and there could be no better reason for it.”
