While their release is scheduled for November 18, the Pokemon Violet and Scarlet games had not revealed themselves too much until then. Nintendo and The Pokémon Company yesterday unveiled new information on the future opuses of the famous brand.
Trainers will evolve in the Paldea region whose big villains will be part of Team Star.
However, there are new features to note: several plots, brand new features as well as new Pokémon from the Paldea region.
In Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Purple, the trainers will have to enroll in a school which will offer them an extracurricular project called the “Treasure hunt”. The latter will bring 3 intrigues:
- The way of the Master: reach Master rank by fighting in all Arenas in the region
- A legendary perfume: go in search of Secret Spices with Pepper, a classmate
- Stardust Objective: take on Team Star.
All these intrigues will take place in a open world allowing players to progress as they wish in the adventure.
Another novelty is the functionality “Ahead !”. Indeed, during your walks in the Paldea region, the Pokémon that accompanies you by your side can use this feature and thus pick up objects alone lying area. He can, at the same time, trigger automatic fights alone with nearby Pokémon.
Carmadura and Malvalame
Each new generation brings with it its share of new Pokémon. While the starters were revealed during Pokémon Presents in February 2022, The Pokemon Company has just unveiled the 2 Pokémon that will be specific to each version of the game.
Carmadura will appear in Pokémon Scarlet. This Pokémon having inherited the armor of a warrior will be able to draw its Psychic and Fire type abilities from it.

Malvalame appear in Pokémon Purple. This Pokémon with armor infused with rancor will be able to wield blades surrounded by Fire and Ghost-type energy. In battle, these blades will turn into swords that will increase the power of the Pokémon.

Finally, in each version of the game, players will be able to meet Craparoi, an Ambush Pokémon. With its bulging eyes, this Pokémon will be able to see everything that is happening around it. Posted on the cliffs, it could surprise its prey.

On the occasion of the announcement of these latest innovations, Nintendo also announced the release of the Nintendo Switch, model OLED Edition Pokémon Scarlet and Violet next November.
On the glossy white docking station will be the legendary Pokémon Koraidon and Miraidon. The back of the console will reveal the 3 new starters: Poussacha, Coiffeton and Chochodile. The Joy-Con meanwhile will be scarlet and purple and adorned with the emblems of the Orange and Reason Academies.
Already available for pre-order, the console will officially be released on November 4th.
