New from June 2022: These changes will come to consumers


In the new month, consumers can expect a whole series of changes and innovations. From the 9-euro ticket, sick leave by phone to the agreed heating cost subsidy for low earners, there is a lot.

New from June 1st: That changes for consumers

From June 1st, the 9-euro ticket will be valid, which allows you to use the Local transport as a flat rate allows. Buses, trams, S-Bahn, U-Bahn and regional trains can be used, IC and ICE and buses from private providers cannot. The ticket is valid until August 31, but has to be purchased anew every month for 9 euros.

As a further measure of the federal government’s relief package, the tank discount. The tax rate for petrol falls by almost 30 cents and that for diesel by around 14 cents.
