A new Panem Tribute film will be released in German cinemas later this year. Now the first poster can be admired.

Exactly eight years after the release of the last “Hunger Games” film “Mockingjay Part 2”, the successful franchise will be continued this year. The prequel film “The Panem Tribute – The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes” will start in German cinemas on November 16th, starring young actors Rachel Zegler (21) and Tom Blyth (28).

The producing studio Lionsgate has now released the first poster for the fifth “Panem” film on Instagram. The motif shows a songbird and a snake meeting – and thus takes up the two animals from the film title.

The trailer for the new “Panem” film shouldn’t be long in coming either. Producer Nina Jacobson (57) has that already announced a few days ago on Twitter. Jacobson has accompanied the film series since the start of “The Hunger Games” in 2012.

That’s what “The Hunger Games – The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes” is about

The new “Panem” film “The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes” tells a prequel to the well-known events surrounding the tribute Katniss Everdeen, once embodied by Jennifer Lawrence (32). The focus of the plot is an 18-year-old Coriolanus Snow (Blyth), who has not yet become President of Panem. Snow is tasked with mentoring young tribute Lucy Gray Baird (Zegler) through the tenth Hunger Games while improving the deadly games.

For the fifth “Panem” film, a novel by original author Suzanne Collins (60) will be adapted again – the work “The Hunger Games X – The Song of Birds and Snakes” published in 2020. Already in August last year, a first scene of the new “Panem” film was published on Twitter.
