The XDefiant release date is getting closer! New clues have just fallen and they may well have spilled the beans for good. The players are waiting for the game firmly and obviously, it could happen very, very quickly.
If all eyes are on Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3, currently in the beta phase on PS5, another big FPS is on the horizon. Ubisoft is in fact preparing to release XDefiant, a fast FPS which has already proven itself during various handlings. The feedback was unanimous, it’s very, very good. Ultra-nervous FPS players, like Call of Duty, have congratulated Ubisoft’s risk-taking which has managed to offer impeccable shooting sensations and unparalleled nervousness. Yes, the feeling of XDefiant is pretty crazy, that’s what we told you during our preview, and the players are already won over. However, for the moment, the game does not have a release date. Well, that was before.
A release date for XDefiant? It happens !
In recent days/weeks, rumors have intensified regarding XDefiant. Leakers well known for their information on most trending FPS games have recently implied that the game will be released soon. One of them affirmed several days ago that the game would arrive in the middle or end of October, giving the date of the 17th. A new source, TheMW2Ghost, a leaker renowned for its good information, declares that the game will instead be released around October 27 or 28. Obviously, Ubisoft would have planned to hold a big event around the FPS at the end of the month, suggesting an imminent launch around these dates. For the moment, we do not know when the game will be released exactly, but the noose is tightening little by little.
Ubisoft’s FPS is already very popular with players
Ubisoft has a serious competitor here to Call of Duty: MW3, which will be released at the beginning of November. The difference here is that Ubi’s game is completely free. XDefiant will indeed be free-to-play launched on PC and current consoles. The game is intended to be accessible and competitive. It draws on all of Ubisoft’s cult licenses such as The Division, Ghost Recon or far cry, and offers very nervous competitive game modes. Each player can play a character of their choice by equipping them with personalized skills and weaponry. The games are therefore strategic and particularly dynamic, two points that the players again praised during the last test phase a few days ago.
