After a rather solid month of March, Netflix returns in April with a slew of new films, series and documentaries that complete its catalog. A slightly less exceptional arrival than usual, but which still allows the service to stand up to rival platforms such as Prime Video, Canal+ and Disney+.

Netflix series of the month

Parasyte: The Gray

As unknown parasites take over human hosts and impose their power, humanity mobilizes to fight against this ever-growing threat.

After One Piece And Avatar: The Last Airbenderseries Parasyte is the new live action remake of a famous anime, released in 2014. Created by Hitoshi Iwaaki, creator of the original manga, this new series is also and above all directed by the South Korean Yeon Sang-ho, already at the helm of the impressive Last train to Busan. Very good arguments which add to a careful production, for what promises to be the series not to be missed for fans of zombies and horror.

Available April 5 on Netflix.

Rebel Moon – part 2: The Slasher

Willing to sacrifice everything, Kora and her warriors fight alongside the brave people of Veldt, defending a once peaceful village that has become the new home of those whose homeland has been invaded by the Mother World. On the eve of battle, fighters must confront the truths of their own past, each revealing the reasons for their struggle. As the forces of the Kingdom descend on the budding rebellion, unbreakable bonds are formed, heroes emerge, and legends are forged.

The first part, released in December, was a fiasco on many levels. Will this part 2 save the furniture? In any case, this is what this sequel, still signed by Zack Snyder, aims to do (Man of Steel, Justice League), which promises much more action and intensity, in a part openly inspired by Seven Samurai by Akira Kurosawa (released in 1954)… much nastier, of course.

Available April 19 on Netflix.
