In the years 1978-1991, Dahmer killed a total of 17 men and boys drawn from the local Milwaukee gay scene. He lured her into his apartment under a pretext, drugged and raped her. He then cut up his victims and kept parts of them in his apartment. He disposed of the corpses in the trash, which nobody seemed to notice for years. First he murdered in his grandmother’s house, later in his own apartment.
Neighbors complained of screams and noisy power tools, but police showed little interest in investigating. The trailer for “Monster: The Story of Jeffrey Dahmer” already shows that the neighbors confront Dahmer and also contact the police. But how could the terrible deeds remain undiscovered for so long?
