New owners – “Without the corona virus there would be no sausage meeting place”

The legendary Seeber snack bar near the Wissenstur has new owners: the Gschwandtner couple will open their “Würstl-Treff” on August 16th.

When Reinhard Waldenberger dedicated his series “Waldis Menschen” to the legendary Promenadenhof boss Elfie Seeber last October, restaurateur Martina Gschwandtner became aware that the Seebers were considering selling their legendary snack bar on Kärntnerstraße. “Without Corona, my husband and I would probably never have thought about creating a permanent foothold for ourselves,” says Gschwandtner, who has long since made a name for herself with her Würstl-Treff and sweet tooth stand at the Urfahraner and Advent markets. But everything went very quickly in the spring, and the Seeber family agreed on a takeover in August. New opening on August 16th The kitchen is currently being modernized, but from August 16th the popular sausage stand will open opposite the main train station at the Knowledge Tower its gates. “My husband Walter and I will spoil our guests in the Würstl-Treff with three permanent employees. Now to start with typical delicacies such as sausages, Käsekrainer, meat loaves or chops. When everything has settled down, we also want to offer the lunch dishes that were previously so popular at the snack bar,” reveals the busy entrepreneur. Incidentally, the Gschwandtners will continue to be represented at the Urfahraner and Advent markets.
