New phase for Neoen, the French energy nugget

The renewables specialist is launching a capital increase of 750 million euros.

This is the story of a French success. Founded in 2008, Neoen is today a listed company and France’s leading independent producer of renewable energies. The company is launching a capital increase of 750 million, to increase the pace of its investments.

The funds raised by the specialist in wind, solar and battery electricity storage will be directly used for the construction of new capacities. It aims for a production capacity in operation – or under construction – of 10 gigawatts (GW) at the end of 2025, against 6.6 GW currently. 600 million euros will be devoted to the extension of production capacities and 150 million to that of its storage capacities. “We make non-intermittent electricity that issums up Xavier Barbaro, CEO of Neoen.
