A monstrous system, just like its selling price: the auction starts at more than 110,000 euros. Hope this is just a prank…

For several months now, photographs of a massive GeForce RTX 4000 GPU cooling system have been fueling speculation about a possible GeForce RTX 4090 Ti, also called GeForce RTX Titan by some. First photos began circulating earlier this year, and more images of the colossus were released last month. Here are some new ones, straight from China.

An empty heatsink or 56 GeForce RTX 4090?

The photos were published on the occasion of the sale of the cooler on the Goofish platform by a certain Hayaka. The latter offers the monster at auction at a delirious price.

He is indeed claiming the modest sum of 888,888 yuan, which corresponds to almost 113,000 euros in gross conversion… And it is only the cooler which is at this price. It does not hide any GeForce RTX 4090 PCB and GPU, let alone GeForce RTX 4090 Ti/Titan. Otherwise, such an amount makes it possible to obtain around 56 GeForce RTX 4090s at 2,000 euros…

A PCB installed vertically

This cooling solution imposes itself by its size. It occupies four slots and could dissipate up to 800 watts. Also, it is designed to install a PCB vertically.

However, despite speculations about a heatsink designed for a GeForce RTX 4090 Ti/Titan, the latter bears the RTX 4090 brand. In addition, the single 12VHPWR connector would be insufficient to power an 800 watt TGP graphics card. In short, as it stands, it is probably a simple prototype.

A GeForce RTX 4090 Ti to complete the GeForce RTX 40 Series range?

Apart from NVIDIA, no one knows if the company is planning a GeForce RTX 4090 Ti/Titan. Technically, it is possible: the GeForce RTX 4090 uses “only” 16,384 cores (128 SM) of the 18,432 of its AD102 GPU (i.e. 88.89%). Rumors point to a GeForce RTX 4090 Ti at 142 SM, or 18,176 CUDA cores.

This flagship Ada Lovelace would also inherit 96 MB of L2 cache and (72 MB for the RTX 4090). Finally, it would benefit from GDDR6X memory pushed to 24 Gbits/s, the maximum speed expected for this type of memory (Micron has been producing such chips for a few weeks, unlike Samsung, which is still in the test phase).
