Quite a few Göriachers went to the polls on Sunday morning wearing lederhosen and dirndls – and after the polls went on to the neighboring Mariapfarr. The newly ordained priest Rupert Santner celebrated his first service there. A happy day for the region. . .
Many residents had festively decorated their houses with flags. Countless believers flocked to the sports field in Mariapfarr. There the newly ordained priest Rupert Santner held his first mass, celebrated his so-called Primiz. The service could also be seen on the internet via livestream.
It was a special experience for Santner, the 31-year-old is a real Lungau. After the service, Santner invited all those celebrating, including the clubs and traditional groups, to an agape – of course, strictly observing the 3G rules that are still in force. From autumn the Lungau cooperator will be in the parish of St. Johann in Tirol and in Oberndorf.
