(Reuters) – Ukraine and Russia said on Saturday they had swapped some 200 prisoners, while the bodies of two British volunteers were returned to Ukraine.

Ukrainian presidential chief of staff Andriy Yermak said 116 Ukrainians had returned home, with Russian news agencies pointing to the Ministry of Defense’s announcement of the return of 63 soldiers through the mediation of United Arab Emirates.

“We brought back 116 of our own, Mariupol defenders, Kherson supporters, Bakhmut front snipers and other heroes,” Andriy Yermak wrote on Telegram.

Volodimir Zelensky’s chief of staff added that the bodies of Andrew Bagshaw and Chris Parry, who were killed during a humanitarian operation to evacuate civilians from Donbass last month, were returned to Ukraine as part of the exchange .
