New roles, new map, new modes: Among Us unveils its 2022 roadmap


Innersloth, the developer of Among Us, revealed a roadmap revealing the future of the game. New features like the friends list will arrive in the short term, others, like the new map or the Hide’n’Seek are still in development.

Among Us, the game of Innersloth recently released on PS4 and Xbox, having brought many new players to the game. However, Innersloth does not intend to stop at such a good point, as they recently communicated their plans for the future of the game.

It is through of a roadmap that Innersloth reveals what on what they work actively, and what dshould be out soon. To begin with, despite no specific date, these will be improvements to the game’s quality of life that will be made, the studio wanting to eliminate some problems that Among Us is experiencing. Should also arrive alongside these changes friends list, so much requested by the community. It will allow players to invite their friends much more easily, without the need for any code or external invitation.

However, Innersloth has other plans for the game, still in the works, which will arrive a little later. Of new roles should arrive allowing to diversify the gaming experience a little more. Innersloth is also actively working on new cubes, and especially collaborations, which will probably give rise to skins. The studio also confirms the arrival of the mode Hide’n’Seek and the new map, the 5th in the game, which had been teased several months ago and should arrive in 2022.

The roadmap announces even more undisclosed content coming later. We also know than a VR version of Among Us is in development, since revealed at the end of 2021, but it is still too early for additional information.
