The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 is the successor to the Flip 3 5G. The smartphone has a 6.7-inch FHD+ OLED display and a 1.9-inch touch front display. The adaptive refresh rate between 1 and up to 120 Hertz should ensure smooth scrolling. The powerful Snapdragon 8+ Gen.1 from Qualcomm works inside the Z Flip 4. At 3,700 mAh, the battery is slightly larger than in the previous model. Otherwise, the equipment is quite similar: According to IPX8, the smartphone is protected against the ingress of water. On the back is the dual camera setup consisting of a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera and a 12-megapixel wide-angle camera. The front camera for selfies has a wide-angle lens with a 10 megapixel sensor.
The Galaxy Z Flip 4 is now available for pre-order. Available throughout Germany from August 26th. It comes in the colors “Bora Purple”, “Graphite”, “Pink Gold” and “Blue” and comes in the following variants:

Our assessment:
The Galaxy Z Flip 4 should be worthwhile for photo and video fans in particular due to the new software features related to the camera. In the so-called “FlexCam Mode” you film or take photos with the smartphone half open, which is reminiscent of camcorder recordings. Because one-handed filming is relatively easy, the smartphone is also suitable for video blogs, which can then be shared directly on social media. You can also reply to messages, start calls and control paired smart home devices on the mini display.
