Scammers never run out of ideas! Now there is a new scam – fake PCR results are sent to victims via SMS.
“Dear user! Your laboratory results are available under the following link.” This is what the SMS sent by the fraudsters says. Several Carinthians have already received this message. The police warn: “Never click on the link! There are scammers behind it. The perpetrators are targeting passwords, account numbers and personal data.” Test system hacked? How the perpetrators got the phone numbers of the victims is still unknown. “The test system could also have been hacked, because some of the victims were actually at the test station – then they received these SMS,” suspects the police and advises: “Such SMS must be deleted immediately!”
